Omega #20106
Pacific cream**
Merkur 1904 DE
Dorco ST301 #4
Thayer's splash
Terre d'Hermes

**Pacific cream lathered up nicely for me. As others have mentioned, the lather seemed runny at first but stiffened up quickly. The scent is a very light, pleasant, and natural citrus. Excellent cushion and good glide. Did I get a slight tingle on the skin? Perhaps. I will test it again tomorrow, but I think any tingling was in my head.

I know I'm going back to Saturday, but I originally asked these questions right before the board went down...

SiR-ed8,

Few questions:

1. McLas? Tell me as many details as you can, if you don't mind (ingredients, strength of scent, etc.). I'm a bay rum fanatic. I think I've seen a mentholated McLas on a couple of websites. Is this the same stuff?
2. Olivia's - been a while since anyone's posted an up-to-date review of this. Tell me about the latherability with hard, but not impossible, water. I get great lather with Cella, Palmolive, Arko, the English stuff, and nearly every cream I've ever used, but I'm nervous to pay shipping from overseas only to be disappointed.
3. Whence cometh your shaving mug? I like it. A lot.

Thanks.

Tim

Monday evening:

Golden Nib 23mm synthetic knot in a Surrey(VDH) handle from my father's stash.
Body Shop Shave Cream, 2008 & earlier version
Super Adjustable, O-2, set at 3,4
Treet Durasharp Classic, 3rd shave
Thayers Lemon
Body Shop Razor Relief

Three passes plus touch-up. Some parts of the right jaw line aren't BBS, but it should last me until Wednesday morning.

The Golden Nib synthetic isn't quite as effective a lather maker as the cheap no-name badger from Hong Kong that I've been using, but so far it hasn't shed one bristle.

That can't be said for the cheap no-name badger from Hong Kong. Not sure how much longer it will last at the rate it's been shedding.
