Monday evening, on a 50-hour growth:

Pure badger 20mm knot from the Golden Nib set in vintage Ever-Ready handle
Body Shop Shave Cream, <2008 forumula
Super Adjustable, O-2, set at 3,4
"The Spoiler" blade, R-3, 1st shave
Thayers Lemon
Body Shop Razor Relief

Three passes plus touch-up.

These blades came as an afterthought in a lot of NOS Wilkinson UK's, but they work very nicely in a razor from the same manufacturer, Gillette, from the same era. They work as if designed for each other. This is the closest I can remember getting after two passes.

Can the vertically integrated, same razor and blade mfr. argument be extended to modern plastic razors? Naaah!

I may be spoiled tonight, but still resigned to using some very good current blades in my stash.

Gillette Tech w/ Feather (1)
Semogue 1305
MWF ss
Thayers Original WH w/ aloe
Anherb a/s conditioner
Czech & Speake No. 88 Edt

Wonderful DFS this morning after a day off from shaving to give my face a rest. Lots of great wool fat lather and three smooth passes with the Tech/Feather leave me feeling smooth and non-irritated. Back to work we go...
