Omega 90081
Merkur 1904/Wilkinson Classic
Gold Dachs Spezial "aka Rivivage"
Thayers After Shave

From what I gather the real name of the soap is Gold Dachs Spezial which also goes by "Rivivage" for some reason. With a wonderful clean scent this soap is close cutting and always a favorite for me.
Good shaving,

Gary

Good Sunday:

Long tooth NEW with ball end handle
Iridium Super - shave #3
TOBS Lavender cream
Omega #620 Silvertip
Humphrey's Witch Hazel a/s
C.O. Bigelow Elixir Green a/s/b
C.O. Bigelow Elixir Green EdC

The NEW and the IS is an aggressive set-up, but very effective when used with good technique.

Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf w/ Pella (5)
Unknown handle reknotted w/ Golden Nib Finest badger
Godrej Menthol Mist sc
Thayers Original WH w/ aloe
Aqua Velva a/s
444 a/s balm
Acqua di Selva Edt

After a day off from shaving, the Clog-Pruf certainly made it's presence known as I did the first pass. The GN badger is softer than my "Best" badger brushes but not too floppy and with the Godrej provided a nice cushioning lather. The second and third passes were less irritating and I was left with a terrific shave. I finished with the Acqua di Selva and took my daughter out for breakfast feeling all is right with the world.

Vulfix 2234 faux horn
Nancy Boy Signature
Merkur 1904/06 razor
Dorco ST-301 day #3
Thayer's aswh splash

Still invigorating. But the 2234 may be too small...love its aesthetics, but I may have to face the fact that I'm an Omega man. I'll give it a couple more weeks before deciding.

Sunday Shave

Post by Nick Freeh »

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Merkur Futur
Iridium Super
MWF
Simpson Emperor 2 Two-Band Super
Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
Speick A/S Balm

Excellent, BBS shave today. When the water/soap ratio is just right, it’s hard to beat MWF. My lather started out a little dry, but a quick dip of the brush tip into some warm water made a big difference and resulted in a great lather. I think my other soaps are more forgiving. Tabac, for instance, rather than being a stern Prussian taskmaster, is pretty laid back when it comes to lathering. I do like both of these soaps, and their somewhat different “personalities” is one of the factors that makes shaving fun.

Sunday!

Kent BLK4
Rocket HD w/Wilkinson Super Sword-Edge
D.R. Harris Rose Cream
D.R. Harris A/S Milk (old)

Encre Noire

The Harris Rose is top-notch, right there with the Coate's and T&H versions IMHO. It is definitely darker than Coate's, not as dark as Trumper's as I remember (been a few years since I used the Trumper's). It has excellent cushion and lathers easily. The scent is a tad sharper than T&H and Coate's, but overall a stellar performer, and why not? It's a D.R. Harris product!
