1961 Gillette Fat Boy
Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (shave #1)
Omega 10005
TOBS Almond Shaving Cream
Speick After Shave Lotion
First ever shave with the Fat Boy was 99% successful. I set it to 4 for the WTG and XTG passes, then decided to go to 6 for the final ATG pass. This went fine until I nicked a small mole I have near the corner of my mouth. I had to break out the styptic gel for only the second time since I bought it two years ago.
The verdict? A great razor. It felt quite natural to use as it seems to be a very similar weight to my Merkur HD. I look forward to mastering it.

Good morning. Wednesday:
Rooney EJ87 w/Dorco 301
Vulfix 2234 boar (loaner)*
Fitjar Lavender soap
Thayer's lavender witch hazel
Harris Pink
CF Pre-shave ass A/S
Taylor's Lavender Water
*Thanks, Tim. The brush still needs some breaking in- it held enough lather for first pass, but need recharging for the remaining pass. Still, the bristles are wonderfully soft and the larger handle is more pleasant to use than my Hyde Park.

Chris, yeah, it feels great in the hand and on the face. But you're right; more lather-holding capacity will take time.
Omega #10066 boar
Nancy Boy Signature
Merkur "1904" razor
Dorco 301 shave #2
Nancy Boy a/s gel +
Thayer's aftershave
Bowling Green spray
Great spring shave. The a/s gel is nice and cooling; can't see it being a daily thing, but now and then it will be enjoyable.
Oh yeah, and Bowling GREEN for St. Patrick's Day.
Regards,

Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Kai (Thanks Jerry)
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two band
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Irisch Moos Shave Stick
A/S: Alt Innsbruck
I have been testing the Simfix Grosvenor all week and decided to try it with a shave stick this morning. It passed with flying colors as I had an abundance of lather for four passes. I also tested out a new blade...the Kai...thanks to Jerry (Slantman). The Kai was the cleanest blade I have ever come across...no glue spots and no markings whatsoever. It was very sharp and very smooth producing an effortless BBS shave. I cannot comment on its longevity as this is my first use but, it is definitely a quality blade worth exploring. The Alt Innsbruck was the perfect finish for what will be a very hot (mid 80's) day.
