Tuesday:

Shave Secret (some say that it doesn't add anything: don't agree, but it's worth it to me for the clove scent alone)
Arko Shave Stick
Hoffritz Slant Bar w/new Gillette Super Stainless (green)
Rubberset handle with fine badger reknot (I don't know what to call this--maybe just "Bob")
Witch Hazel

Aqua Quorum

A redeeming shave.
John.

I'll think of something clever eventually.

Razor: Merkur HD (34C)
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Shavemac D01 Horn
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Cream: Irisch Moos Shave Stick
A/S: GFT Spanish Leather

I do not use my 34C very often but I should...it really is a nice razor. The 34C & Iridium combo helped out by the luxurious lather of Irisch Moos teamed up to provide an irritation free BBS shave. I dusted off the Spanish Leather and was reminded how much I enjoy it as well.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

1964 Macys brush
1958 Executive/ vintage Krona super stainless
MWF
Lumene AS balm
St Johns 'Bay Rum' cologne

Second shave with this blade, both with excellent results. I could easily use this Schick Krona every day........I like it about as much as the Iridium(one of my two favorite blades). Very sharp yet forgiving, which is a nice combo.

BBS results,

Tuesday:

Gillette Model #58 & LB Wilkinson blade
Omega boar
Trumpers Sandalwood shave cream
D R Harris's Pink A/S
Floris's Original Gentlemen's Cologne

Shaves continue to be good with the Omega if I stick to top end creams like this. Not as engrossing as using a good badger brush, more 'matter of fact', but no real problems. Hard soaps are another matter.

Tuesday:

Schick Krona/Gillette Platinum
Simpson Chubby 2 Super
Fitjar shea butter shave cream (sample) (Thanks, Tim!)
Dickinson's witch hazel w/lavender EO and glycerin added
Trumper Coral Skin Food
Escada Pour Homme EdT

First time with the Fitjar. It is less dense than the Harris rose cream sample and the Coates sandalwood I used the prior two days. The Chubby has a tendency to lather-hog these types of creams, and I ended up throwing a second helping of cream in the bowl to build lather. Had enough for at least four passes. I can see why the Fitjar has its fans. The shea butter variety is unscented, which isn't my preference, but someone who doesn't want a scented shave cream should look no further.

Good Wednesday morning all...

Gillette Fat Handle Tech w/ Feather
C&E BBB
Mem sc
Dickinson's WH
Anherb a/s gel
GFT Spanish Leather Edt

After three days of lousy shaves, finally a BBS shave with the top pairing of mild razor and sharp blade. Finishing with the Spanish Leather, I am ready for a half day of work and an afternoon of watching the prodigal son's baseball team play the University of Rochester. Forecast is for 57 degrees so it might actually not be freezing out there

Omega #11137 boar
Palmolive menthol IT
Merkur 1904/6 razor
Dorco 301 shave #3
Thayer's aftershave
Bvlgari Aqva cologne

First use of the Palmolive for the season. Not that warm yet, but I couldn't wait. First ever use of Bvlgari Aqva. Yes, it's an aquatic. Yes, I know I'm violating SMF principles.
