Vulfix 374 Super
Merkur 1904/Wilkinson Classic
UK Palmolive Shaving Cream
Thayers Witch Hazel w/Aloe

Another fine shave with Palmolive SC - quite impressed by the budget tube from across the pond. My 374 whipped up a fine lather with a great clean fragrance that is nice and refreshing. I am definitely in the clean scent category when it comes to soaps and creams. I recently picked up a plain bottle of Thayers Witch Hazel (white label) and find that the reduced alcohol versus the After Shave version is gentler but just as effective.
Good shaving,

Gary

Thursday 4/1/10

Crown & Sword 5/8
Semogue 1305
Arko shave stick
Dickinson's WH
444 a/s balm
Acqua di Selva Edt

First day of spring break...slept in a little...went for the straight and had a decent shave with the Crown & Sword. Finished with the 444 and the classic Acqua di Selva (still my vote for the best inexpensive fragrance in my limited experience). Oh and by the way, a proud father wants to show off a little: http://www.brockport.edu/athletics/base ... hp?id=1848

Merkur HD
Iridium Super (shave #1)
Small Edwin Jagger Super Badger
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap
Pitralon Classic After Shave

Did my first cold water shave today. I got a couple of weepers on my neck that I don't normally get, but the end result was as good as a hot water shave. I'll probably do it a couple more times, but if the results aren't markedly better, I'll be back to nice, hot water.

Thursday!

Plisson 14 HMW
Rocket HD w/Wilkinson Super Sword-Edge
Coate's Sandalwood
D R Harris Milk (old)

Chanel Antaeus (old)

I have a few mini bottles of older Antaeus, but I finally scored a large splash bottle of vintage juice, and this is the real deal, the scent I wore in my early 20s when it first came out. Such a great scent, used sparingly. My wife was asleep in bed as i was getting dressed for work this morning, and looked up and said "You smell nice", which is a big compliment from her, as she is a hippie and likes to smell the flowers and trees instead of my ever expanding collection of vintage colognes.

Saville Row 3118
Speick Shave Stick (makes wonderful lather)
No scuttle in the hotel :(
Gillette disposable two-blade razor
Old Spice AS

The two-blade Trac II-like razor gives a good shave. I have never used one with more blades so I can't compare. If the world ran out of DE blades I would go back to two-bladed cartridges, if I could find them and if for some reason I couldn't use a straight. They were getting expensive when I switched to DE's.
