Hot shower
Ever Ready 1912 Se
GEM Stainless Coated Single Edge Blades #1
Penworks finest
Proraso shaving cream
Proraso pre/after shave

First shave with a SE and a nice chance in my ritual. I used very light, short strokes just to get used with the angles. No nicks, a good enough shave, and I really see the potential, so this week I will perfect my SE technique. I also have a Pal injector I'm "dying" to try asap.

Vulfix 2234 Super
Merkur 1904/Wilkinson Classic
TOBS Mr. Taylor Shaving Cream
Thayers Witch Hazel w/Aloe
TOBS Mr. Taylor Luxury After Shave Balm

I added the TOBS balm to my Mr. Taylor collection, to call it a balm is a little misleading as it is more of a gel. I cut it a little with the Thayers and wet hands to get it a little more mobile as it is fairly firm, a pea size drop is enough. It is a little sticky at first but then dries in and feels lighter than a regular cream balm.

A fine lather this morning for a very good early morning shave.

Two days ago I shaved a bit too close.

So yesterday I did a very light "repair" shave. (i.e. deliberately not very close, using an ultra-light touch).

Today, I was ready to go back to my usual shaving regimen. Today's shave was:

Razor: Gillette Aristocrat

Blade: Derby (fresh today)

Brush: B&B silvertip 2006

Soap: Tabac

Started with a face wash with french milled soap in a hot shower. Then built a good Tabac lather, 2 passes + touch up.

Used a very small amount of Lubriderm (unscented) after I shaved.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Just right today!

Tuesday morning.

Prep: Wash face with glycerin soap, massage lather into beard followed by hot
towel.
Brush: Simpson PJ2 Best.
Cream: Tom’s of Maine.
Razor: Merkur Slant/Gillette Swede.
Post: Thayer’s Witch Hazel, Clubman.

Been off my schedule recently and shaving in the morning. As I’m slow to wake-up a Slant is a better choice. Can’t wait to get back to a straight and my ritual shave!

Chris, how do you like that Diptyque Philosykos? At first I thought those were garlic cloves on the label, but now a little research has gotten me curious about this EdT.
