In anticipation of not having time to do so tomorrow, I'm posting my shave tonight, though it has yet to take place:

Omega Retaggio boar
AOS Sandalwood soap
Merkur 1904 DE razor
Dorco ST-301 shave 2
Thayer's aftershave**
AOS Sandalwood EdT

**I have decided that this will be more or less my only aftershave for the time being. I have a mess of other aftershaves I will wear as a/s and cologne, but for daily use, this will be it. Harris Pink, which was the other finalist, is up for sale; simplicity has been nice, and I want to move even more in that direction.

Tim

Gordon,

it was okay. I am used now to the giant size of this brush and normally I enjoy lathering with it.

But this combination was somehow not top. For one reason or another the brush did not pick up enough soap to build up a good lather. I face lather and had difficulty to find the right amount of water to get a decent lather build up. I assume that the soap puck was too dried out, because I have usually no problems to create a rich lather with this brush.
