Boker Tecumseh 4/8 and '73 Superspeed w/ Gillette Thin
E.J. BBB
K D Creations Forest Glade ss
Thayers Cucumber WH w/ aloe
K D Creations a/s milk
Vetiver by Puig Edt

After nicking my strop (Argghhhh!) I attempted to use my newly cleaned up and honed Boker...either it is not shave ready or I just can't use Bokers. I have had no luck with the Bokers that I have used...switched to the DE w/ the Gillette Thin and finished with a very good result. The K D Creations soap was given to me by Karen at the razor meet this weekend and it works very well and leaves my face feeling terrific.

Vulfix 2234 Horn Bristle
Merkur 1904/Wilkinson Classic
Gold Dachs Spezial
Thayers Witch Hazel w/Aloe
Lucky Tiger Vanishing Cream After Shave Moisturizer

This kit yields consistently very good shaves that makes it hard to pull other things out of the drawer. While I really do like a little variety I see my recent experimental phase coming to an end.
Good shaving,

Gary

Razor: Merkur Progress XL
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
Cream: Arko Moist
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Speick Balm

My brush was a little wetter than it should have been this morning, making my lather too wet and thin. However, I received a BBS, maybe BBS+ shave. When I applied the witch hazel (generic stuff, with enough Osage Rub added to counteract the witch hazel aroma and add a mild menthol tingle), I felt a momentary burn, indicating a closer shave than I had intended. I had been planning a finish of Speick splash, but chose instead Speick balm, which is very soothing. I don't seem to have any lasting razor burn, but I must remember to start out with a dryer brush when using Arko.

British Ever-Ready
Pella blade
Nivea shave gel
Trumper's Limes a/s

Very nice, comfortable shave today. Beginning to get the hang of the Ever-Ready single-edge shaving mojo. (Unless I just jinxed myself by saying that. )

The Gillette shave gel has a slight edge over the Nivea in terms of slickness. While I'm enjoying the convenience of canned goop, it will be nice to get back to the traditional stuff.

Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Shavemac 2007 LE
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet
A/S: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

I had forgotten just how much I like Blenheim Bouquet shave soap. Unlike some soaps that you have to work in order to get a lather, the BB instantly explodes with rich wonderful lather. I had a great shave and get to smell like Winston Churchill -minus the cigar smoke.
