Monday evening 6/7/10

Fat Handle Tech w/ Feather
E.J. BBB
Connaught Indian Sandalwood sc
Thayers Cucumber WH w/aloe
Three Crowns Indian Sandalwood a/s milk
C&E Sandalwood Edt

What started out as a head shave turned into a full blown shave. The Connaught shave cream produces great lather and feels wonderfully cushioning and smooth...not unlike the Coates I use sparingly...a sandalwood evening on a cool night.

Simpson Emperor 2
Prairie Creations Dragon's Blood Shave Soap with lanolin
Moss Scuttle
Muhle R 84 SRG
Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (yellow)
Booster Oriental Spice AS

The PC soap lathered perfectly. The scent was too sweet, like a combination of bay rum, cinnamon, and ginger, but I will give a few shaves.

Razor: EJ Chatsworth
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
Cream: Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood Toner

Very comfortable DFS+ shave with the Astra blade (#5). That's about the limit for the Astra, in my experience, so I will dump it and install a new Iridium Super for the next time I use this razor. I expect to get about 15 shaves from the Iridium. As for the TOBS cream, I have really come to love the Sandalwood fragrance. It has that woody "bite" to the scent, or whatever it is, that I like. Some would call it "pungent"; however, the scent doesn't follow me for long. The Ogallala toner was a great finish, lightly extending the sandalwood presence.
