Good Monday morning all...

'73 Superspeed w/ Sharpedge
Semogue 1305
Omega ss
Thayers Cucumber WH w/ aloe
Aqua Velva a/s
Nivea Extra Soothing a/s balm
Acqua di Selva Edt

Apparently yesterday's shave was so effective I hardly needed one this morning (I have a very light beard, obviously). Nonetheless I proceeded with three passes and obtained a damn fine shave to start the week. The Acqua di Selva is a great finish.

Razor: EJ Chatsworth
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Simpson Colonel X2L Best
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum, Sage & Cedar
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Pashana American Bay Rum Splash (product of the U.K.)

A pleasant, smooth, and close shave this morning with the aromatic Ogallala shea butter soap. I tried a new acquisition, the Pashana American Bay Rum aftershave splash. It was an excellent finish--lightly scented (which is the way I like it), but still giving that quick little Pinaud-style burn when first applied. For those who like Pinaud Bay Rum, but don't like to see heads turning or colleagues' eyes starting to water, I think Pashana ABR is worth a try.

Lucky Tiger Molle Shaving Cream
Merkur HD/Derby Extra
Thayers Witch Hazel w/Aloe
Lucky Tiger Vanishing Cream After Shave Moisturizer

Back from a two week trip, always nice to return and shave in one's own den. Instead of pulling one of the other products from the drawer I just kept using the same kit.

I left the brush at home for the two week trip and used the above kit which made for consistently great shaves day after day. Completely convinced that the brush only serves as a tool to make lather and provides little in the way of facial preparation (exfoliation or lifting hairs). Shaving each day of the trip was indeed a pleasure.
Good shaving,

Gary
