Hey there Julian! The blade did very well. I'm hoping it will hold up for at least another 4 shaves just as smooth. Today's shave actually surprised me. In the Slant, the 4th shave was every bit as smooth as the first. It didn't seem to be off by any degree. I'll just keep plugging away and see what happens.jss wrote:Hi Gary..How is the Hospital blade working for you after the fourth shave??

TRBeck - It's nice to see someone using the J Peterman shave cream. It is really excellent. I ran out a while back and am frequently on the verge of buying more, but somehow never pull the trigger (I just got one of those J Peterman catalogues in the mail, actually, and was once again eyeballing the shave cream). Too bad your skin doesn't agree... FWIW, I found the aftershave and cologne to be a dead match scentwise with the cream.TRBeck wrote: J. Peterman crm*
*Thanks to Martin for this. A great cream - I gather most think this is Trumper's formula, and I agree; it lathers and shaves identically to my GFT cream, which is to say great. The scent is phenomenal: gentlemanly, timeless, rich. Sadly, my skin doesn't like it. I will be buying the cologne, though.

Saturday 2/5 . . .
- Prep: Noxzema Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
- Brush: Ever Roddy 300 refurbed ER 300 with TGN Silvertip Badger
- Cream: SCS Oakmoss & Lavendula
- Razor: '48 Eversharp-Schick G1 Injector
- Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated injector (shave 2)
- A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner
- EDT: SCS Oakmoss & Lavendula EDT
- Result: Just a DFS today. Did not do the buffing pass cause I really felt lazy. The DFS is okay for today. Got the SCS cream to make great slick lather again today.
