Well I just went ahead and bought the flacon of the Bois du Portugal. I like it a lot. The Creed Boutique in NYC charged me no shipping and no taxes and included a BIG bunch of samples.

Pre de Provence Shave Soap
Merkur HD/Derby Extra
Thayers Witch Hazel w/Aloe
Nivea Sensitive After Shave Balm
Used my HD/Derby combo, I think they have been sitting on the shelf to long as they did a great job and must have been ready to go when I gave them the chance. Funny how we can sort of characterize our equipment.

Pre-shave Soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: EJ Chatsworth
Blade: NOS Gillette Bleue Extra
Brush: EJ Best Badger
Cream: Erasmic (in the metal tube)
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns
A great shave this morning, even though I was in a bit of a hurry--had to take my car in for service and like to get there when they open. The Gillette Bleue Extra is very smooth and sharp--not better for me than, say, an Astra Superior but it's right up there. No nicks, no weepers--a very close, smooth, and comfortable shave.
