Taylor Almond cream lathers brilliantly, even in the new formulation. It does not agree with my skin. Almond appears to be out, totally. Oh, well...

Pacific Shaving Oil
Barbasol
Merkur 1904/Wilkinson Classic
Thayers Witch Hazel w/Aloe
Just a slight change up this morning, shaving oil still doing pretty well (although I am already longing to pull something else from the drawer), worked well with the Barbasol and overall shave was fine by my standards. Interesting in that I really did not need a smear of balm this morning as my face felts great.

Gillette Bleue Extra #4
Merkur 34c
Queen Charlotte Key Lime shave cream
Savile Row 3824
Alum
Floid Vigoroso
This is the third of my Queen Charlotte Soap shave cream samples and
my first ever use of a lime scented product. Perhaps it's time for a new blade but this is first time I got post shave irritation after using QC product.
A different blade in a different razor will tell the tale, maybe. I really want to like this stuff, scent is great, lather looks great but doesn't seem "dense" enough to provide enough cushion. Today's post irritation aside, the QC cream does wonders for condition of skin, my handsome mug has never looked so good.

Razor: Edwin Jagger DE86
Blade: Gillette Yellow
Brush: Rooney Two Band Beehive
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Wilkinson Shave Stick
A/S: Mr. Taylor
I decided to change things up and grabbed the DE86 with a new Gillette Yellow blade. These worked well together and I enjoyed another excellent shave. The Mr. Taylor splash remains a favorite.

Thursday Night:
Edwin Jagger DE87 razor
Personna Hospital Use blade
Semogue 730 silvertip brush
Martin de Candre "sans Parfum" shaving soap
Lather made in a bowl, as always.
Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, mixed with a tiny bit of lather and massaged into the skin.
After my difficulties with the fragrance of Martin de Candre shaving soap, I was tickled pink when they offered an unscented version. I ordered some, but what I got smells just like the fragranced version. I'm wondering if someone fell asleep at the switch during the filling of these jars. I'll have to e-mail the company and see what's going on. This is quite a disappointment.
