St. Patrick's Day

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Derby Extra
Brush: Simpson Colonel X2L
Soap: Irisch Moos Shave Stick (of course, even if the stuff is German)
A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, O'Proraso Splash (OK, it's green!)

You've heard the advice: "Try revisiting a blade that you found lacking in the past--you might have a totally different experience." Well, I did and was rather amazed. Derby blades had fallen out of favor with me a couple of years ago, but I had been meaning to try one in my Futur. This morning, I finally did that, and my St. Patrick's Day shave was excellent--very close to BBS, but I can feel a little stubble in one small spot. The shave was not Iridium-smooth, but it was very pleasant. It now gives me great comfort to know that I have my Futur and a stash of Derbys (and Iridiums, Astras, Treets, and others) in my Shavepocalypse Emergency Kit! A wee dab of O'Proraso and I was ready to venture out on this warm (for Chicago at this time of year) day.

Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: H.L. Thater "Chubby"
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: DR Harris Marlborough Shave Soap
A/S: Alt Innsbruck

The H.L. Thater "Chubby" shave brush continues to impress. It has the perfect combination of softness, backbone and flow-though and paired with the Harris Marlborough shave soap to produce a ton of wonderfully rich and thick lather. The Wilkinson Sticky has moved to the top of my favorite razor list and I find myself using it daily. I enjoyed another superb shave and the Alt Innsbruck was the perfect finish. -Czech & Speake, H.L. Thater, Mergress, Rocnel, Boellis Panama,Castle Forbes, Asylum Shave Works and more.

Gillette #58 w/ 7 o'clock Yellow
Kent BK4
Trumpers Rose SS
TGR After-Shave Balm

A chap on the other forum asked if I might be able to post my glass bottle of Harris Pink (which wasn't actually for sale) to him in Canada (difficult to get hold of there?) and he'd reimburse me at RRP for what was left, so I'm left using the TGR stuff until either the urge overcomes me to have a new bottle delivered, or I hold out long enough for my trip to London next month.
