Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Treet DuraSharp
Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
Cream: TOBS Lavender
A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel, Alt Innsbruck Splash

Excellent shave. The TOBS cream, two or more years old, has lost a little of its fragrance, but still enveloped me in soothing lavender. It works as well as new, and is a favorite of mine--I should use it more often, however. The Alt Innsbruck provided a fine and very compatible finish on this hot morning.

One often used definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Well, I keep using this line up over and over again and my results are getting better and better. These items/products are now like old friends ready to pitch in and do their part to help me achieve a great shave. After finishing the shave this morning I had the urge to salute the shelf where they are all lined up waiting to go to work the next morning. Although, after reading what I just wrote, maybe I am insane!

Gillette New (short comb) – Derby blade
Crabtree & Evelyn Nomad shaving soap
Savile Row 3126 silvertip badger brush (26mm knot)
Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue aftershave lotion
Caswell-Massey Lime cologne
