I used Yardley again today but this is a different version and comes in a wooden bowl. I actually have two wooden bowls of Yardley and find them to be slightly different...I wonder how many different formulations of Yardley Shave Soap there are.
Phil,
How would you compare the two versions, similar quality?

Yes, there is a bit of a learning curve when readapting to the straight, and I had forgotten that the second day can be a bit tough as the skin can be a bit roughed up from the day before even if you don't realize it (a difference I find between DEs, with which a rough shave is immediately apparent, and straights). Anyway, not as comfortable a shave as yesterday, but closer and very satisfying.
