mon'dee morn:

Muhle R41/Yellow 7 O'Clock
Thater 24mm Silvertip/ Arko soap stick
followed by...
Tabac splash

Arko, left unwrapped, will lose a lot of scent and mellow to something approaching 'pleasant' (if you sort of squint) - lather quality, of course, is excellent.

Haven't posted here in a while.

Schick "Paul Revere" injector
Persona twin injector blade
Omega Professional boar
Burma Shave soap

And a great shave. The twin injector blades don't work for some people, but for me they improve some of the milder injectors. The Burma Shave is not the classic brushless cream, but a soap that was made for a while in the late Nineties, and maybe early in this century.

Monday, November 28th

Razor: Gillette Norfolk
Blade: Schick Plus Platinum
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Penhaligons Blenheim (Tallow Version)
A/S: Avon Tai Winds

An excellent shave with vintage/discontinued items. The Gillette Norfolk sometimes seems a bit aggressive but the Schick Plus Platinum blade tames it very well and I enjoyed a very smooth BBS shave.

Monday, Monday, Can't Trust That Day

Becker scuttle
Homemade Frankincense & Myrrh preshave oil
Somerset Simpson Chubby 3 Manchurian brush
Wrisley's Lavender soap
Wilkinson Sticky razor
Schick Plus Platinum blade (3)
Penhaligon's Hammam Bouquet aftershave

All vintage and/or discontinued items except the scuttle. This was my first use of the Wrisley's. I'll be using it this week, followed by Yardley next week for comparison. Briefly, the Wrisley's was too hard on the first lather and pass, especially with the big Manchurian, but by the second pass it lathered up beautifully, with good cushion and great glide. A very fine old soap. And the Hammam Bouquet is always a very rich finish.
