GEM Damaskeene
GEM SE ptfe (11)

2 pass + touchups BBS. After yesterdays razorburn I thought for sure that the blade would be in the can today. But this was a great shave. Maybe yesterdays RB was more due to the terrible lather.
Tomorrow I'll try it in the OCMM yet again with the same lather as today.

I absolutely can't believe how many shaves I'm getting from this blade! On Sunday I had the shave from hell, yesterday it was a pretty comfortable shave, but the blade was in a GEM 1912 and I think that razor would give a great shave with a Dorco if I could get one into it. Today I duplicated yesterdays shave except for the lather. I had problems with lather on Sunday; I also had razor burn for the first time, so I tried to track down the source. Lather. That was the source of the burn. Same blade, same razor as Sunday, the soap was different and I had much better lather today. Great shave today with no burn.
OK, 12 shaves on the blade... I'm definitely noticing that the blade has a few shaves on it. It's a harsher shave than a new blade, but there's no tugging, pulling, or weepers, just a shave that isn't as comfortable as with a new blade. So tomorrow I'll go for #13 in the 1912. I never expected this result.
This blade test is killin' me! I have 2 "new to me" SE razors that I want to try, but don't want to use this blade in them for their first shaves in my hands. Another 20 or so razors coming in, mostly SE.
