Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Merkur Long-Handled Progress
Blade: Gillette Super Thin
Brush: Omega #86 Boar Travel Brush
Soap or Cream: RazoRock XXX Cream/Soap
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Meehan Bay Rhum
Very close BBS shave today! During the process, I thought my shave was not going so well, but I think it was the RazoRock slightly irritating my face. It was also the first shave with this particular Super Thin blade, which may have been a factor, too. I must say, though, that the Omega #86, which looks like a toy, is a capable brush and is very compact for travel. After some witch hazel and a splash of Meehan BR, the irritation is gone and my face feels very, very smooth.

Thursday morning:
Hot towel face prep
Vitos SIS
handmade badger brush
Valet VC1
Feather SE blade (4)
Bay Rum
OK, confession time... I always assumed that because DE Feathers gave me only 2 shaves that the SE version would be the same. (Yeah, I know! ) This time with a Feather in the razor I decided to not just can it after 2 shaves and try to see how many shaves I can actually get from one. Today, I think I may be starting to see the beginnings of the end for the blade, but I'll continue with it until it truly shows itself as being spent.
Other than 2 minor weepers, and this razor is mild enough to not do that with a perfect blade, this was a very nice 2 1/3 pass BBS. I missed my hot towel face prep that I wasn't able to do for the last few days; it was nice to have that again.
Edit: I hate typos!

Razor: Cobra Classic (loaner)
Blade: Feather Professional
Brush: Simpson Douglas
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Trumper Coconut Oil
A/S: Acqua di Parma
The Cobra Classic continues to impress as I enjoyed yet another excellent shave. Unfortunately, my time is up. It has been cleaned and sanitized and will go to the next person on the list this afternoon. The only negative that I can find in the Cobra Classic is changing the blade. The Feather Professional Blade did not want to come out and there was no really good way to grab it (without slicing a finger). I ended up tapping it on a towel and that did the trick.
I have one of my own on the way and I am sure I will figure out a better way to remove the used blade.

Friday
Cobra Classic
Feather Professional Injector Blade
Parma Woodcraft Silvertip
Col Conk Almond Shave Soap
L'Oreal After Shave Balm
Old Spice Classic Cologne
The Cobra Classic does one thing and one thing only it gives an incredible smooth and close shave without fuss. I did 3 passes but 2 is all I needed. It will be interesting to see how long a blade lasts. I have heard guys getting 15 decent shaves out of a blade. I will be very satisfied with 8.

Thursday:
Gillette Model #58 & Gillette Annesy Platinum blade
Simpson X2L Colonel
D R Harris's Lavender hard shaving soap
D R Harris's A/S Milk ( old )
Yardley Black Label cologne
The X2L started to color up noticeably after just one use of the Trumpers Rose cream so I know that the problems like this I've had in the past were not due solely to the old plumbing I had at my prior residence. I decided to try something that was once recommended here, namely to use the brush the next day with an uncolored product. Using the white Harris's soap did seem to lessen the coloration on the brush so I think I will try it again tomorrow and hence forth the rose cream will only be used with my darker bristled Simpson D2.
