Razor: Merkur Futur set a 2
Blade: Rapira Swedish Steel

Post: Hot water, cold water and a splash of Classic Old Spice

Very smooth shave. I really enjoyed face lathering with the Chubby. Just purchased it about two weeks ago, and have only used it a few times. It seems to be loosening up.

Friday morning shave:

(I couldn't post until now)

Hot towel face prep
Vitos SIS
Semogue 610 boar
Gem Jr w/ recessed thumb tab
Gem SS ptfe (6)
Bay Rum

I had to test the Jr with the recessed thumb tab. If it shaves differently from yesterdays with the smooth tab, I surely didn't feel it.

Todays shave reminded me that there are so many fantastic razors and so little time. Also that I never want to go back to boring shaving ever again.

Kent BK4
Cella shave soap
Gillette Z3 Super Speed
New, untried Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (Dark Blue)

First time with this blade. Very smooth and I easily could have stopped with a single pass but went for 1.5. I'm starting this one out at 4.5 out of 5 but that could go higher as I get a feel for it.

Pinaud Bay Rum to finish.

Prep: Hot shower
Soap/cream: VDH Deluxe
Brush: Omega 10066
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable I-2 birth year/quarter, (5)
Blade: Lord Platinum (7) hand stropped
Cold water rinse
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Superior 70 Bay Rum

Haven't used the VDH soap in a really long time, just been trying too many others!
It probably deserves a little spot in everyone's den - under appreciated in my view.
The Lord Platinum gave me seven days of service, and while it could still could go
another day or two, I'll swap it out. Ironically, it seems to work better in my Slim than
my Lord L6 razor...
