SOTD: February 13 thru February 19, 2012
Gentlemen,
A day in mid-February with a temperature of 37 degrees here in the province feels out of balance. At least I heard the cardinal sing for the first time this season. The cardinal is my favorite songbird. I call him Harry.

Razor: Cobra Classic
Blade: Feather Professional
Brush: Vie-Long BG2012 Prototype (Horse)
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: D.R. Harris Arlington
A/S: Alt Innsbruck
I always get a great lather from D.R. Harris Arlington and today was no different. The Vie-Long prototype brush ginned up oodles of rich creamy lather and the Cobra Classic effortlessly mowed down the stubble. The Alt Innsbruck was the exclamation point to the shave. Very nice indeed.

Georgetown scuttle
Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Simpsons 90th Anniversary Astor LE Super brush
Acqua di Parma shaving cream
Feather AS razor
Gillette Platinum Plus blade (5)
Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa aftershave balm
I was dismayed when I developed a rash with AdP cologne, because I love the scent, but I discovered that it was just the high fragrance oils concentration causing the problem, and I can still use the shaving cream and aftershave. The cream does perfectly everything that a cream is supposed to do. A marvelous shave.

Thursday morning shave:
Vitos SIS (the level refuses to lower itself!)
$.50 Chinese boar
Muhle '11 R41
Vintage Wilkinson Sword "Edge" (7 and retired)
Bay rum
This is a very good blade. I didn't baby it one bit, and took the 7th shave from it with the most aggressive DE razor I own. It pulled through with another fantastic shave.
