Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: 1963 Gillette Slim Adjustable
Blade: Astra Keramik
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two-Band
Soap or Cream: P.160 Tipo Morbido Soap
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Wesley & Scott Clove & Peppermint Balm
The trusty old Slim delivered a fine shave this morning, using the Tipo Morbido version of P.160. My take on P.160 soap is that it is a good Italian soft soap, fairly similar to Cella and Valobra soft soaps, with the scent of P.160 being a more pronounced (although still light) almond than that of Cella. I like all of them!

Moss scuttle
Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Somerset Simpson Case 1 Best brush
Atkinson's shaving soap
Wilkinson Sticky razor
Gillette Super Blue blade (2)
Avon "At Point" Tribute aftershave
All old but good stuff.
James Atkinson worked within a building named J. & E. Atkinson's Store at 24 Old Bond Street. Famous for their bear grease among other things, J. & E. Atkinson were perfumers and toilet-soap manufacturers and suppliers to the royal family since 1799. They were named the official royal perfumer in 1826. The building out of which they operated is now famous for its bell tower of twenty-three bells: Atkinsons Carillon. It was later taken over by J. Fox & Co., although the building still remains known as the Atkinson's Building on account of the name "Atkinson's" written in the brickwork, which can still be seen today.

John, that's interesting about the Atkinson's. They'd be proud to see the family name on the I Coloniali soap and creams, I'd think. Anyway, what's the story on the Atkinson's soap? That's a new one to me.

I don't really know anything about the soap. I bought it from a fellow in Australia. Its performance for me is about equivalent to that of Wrisley's or House of Men.brothers wrote:John, that's interesting about the Atkinson's.
