Gentlemen, I have been testing my new Joris open comb in the past two days with different blades. The razor gives incredible shaves, the closest I have ever had, but I am not sure if my extremely sensitive skin is a match for the razor. The Joris shaves much like a straight razor, and if you have shaved with the straight — short strokes, light pressure, proper angle, and so on — you can handle it technically. I do. No problem. No nicks, razor burn or similar evils. Yet the razor is not for those with extremely sensitive skin: Moi. After all, they don't call my face "Hollywood" for nothing, you know?

Razor: Joris open comb in light bone handle
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Shavemac
Cream: Castle Forbes lavender
Pre-shave: Castle Forbes
Scuttle: Schwarzweisskermik
Alum
Witch hazel
Balm: Trumper's Coral Skin Food
Aftershave: Pashana muted with a touch of witch hazel

Friday AM

Doug Smith scuttle
Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Somerset Simpson Berkeley 46 Best brush
Ralph Lauren Safari shaving soap
Gem 1912 razor
Gem Stainless blade(1)
Ralph Lauren Safari aftershave

Switching around among DE, SE, and injector razors is somewhat difficult at times, but I'm BBS again. The old RL soap and AS are great. And since we have the ballet tonight and it's my wife's birthday, I'll probably be shaving again later this afternoon.

Semogue Owners Club Boar
Razorock Mughetto di Bologne

Brush has about 5-6 latherings on it, and isn't properly broken in yet. In a couple of weeks I expect this brush to be superb - it already is actually, but if the tips soften up a bit more it will become my standard noob recommendation.
