Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: iKon OSS
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Omega 31025 "Scarlatti" Boar
Soap or Cream: Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Taylor's Sandalwood Splash

This morning's shave was close, smooth, and left my face feeling great--I've come to really like MWF. The Taylor's Sandalwood A/S provided an excellent finish, and I'm ready to tackle Saturday's tasks.

Saturday morning:

p.160
Simpson Commodore x1 best
ER '06 LC
GEM SS ptfe (2)
Kramperts Finest Bay Rum

Today I saw something I've seen before but never realized what I was seeing before. I had some "floaters" in the sink. Whiskers held together by something invisible. The largest was maybe 1/4" wide and 3/8-1/2" long. Near as I can figure the '06 with the new blade is shaving so close that it's taking at least one layer of dead skin cells now and then. No irritation or burn though and no blood either, so it's just a very close shave. It was a great shave in fact.

Rooney Heritage 2XL
Truefitt & Hill Lavender
Gentleman Refinery A/S Balm
T&H Grafton

With all the recent 'buzz' again about the Cobra Classic I thought I might give it a try but Phil's SOTD on Thursday sealed it. The slim is a great tool as are the other Gillette DE's & Feather AS. It does feel nice to be comfortable with your set up. I'll start dreaming of DR Harris Windsor instead!

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Simpson Colonel X2L Best
Soap or Cream: Palmolive Italian Menthol Cream
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Alt Innsbruck Splash

A great shave on this warm, summer-like morning. The Palmolive Italian Menthol is a good cream with a nice cooling effect, the Futur/Astra combination did its usual wonderful job, and the Alt Innsbruck finished off the shave with some additional cooling and a very pleasant scent.

Sunday Morning
  • •Shower
    •St Ives Apricot scrub
•D R Harris Almond shaving stick
    •Plisson #12 European White
    •Feather
    •Chatsworth razor
    •Clinique PSH
I'm getting excellent and consistent results with tallow shaving sticks like the Harris and Tabac. I may have happened upon nirvana.
