As usual, today's Friday shave was delightful. 2 more days of Asylum Vetiver Bourbon tallow soap to look forward to, then I'll be rotating to the next on the list.

Today's Friday shave was courtesy of a brand new Schick Proline blade in the General V2, Mike's Natural Lime soap, and a return to my ever-capable Silk Smoke synthetic brush, following a couple of weeks with the Manchurian Rooney.

AOS Rose Absolute shaving cream. One of the best. Too bad it's long out of production.

.
razor - Canadian Pre-War Fat-Handle Tech
blade - QShave Titanium (15)
soap - Williams Mug
Old Spice mug lid - Duncan Hines creamy chocolate cake icing
brush - vintage Barbershop handle with APShaveCo Tuxedo
post - warm water rinse, "Pure & Natural" Alum stick, cold water rinse
AS - Brut
music - none, tonight.
.
The QShave blade is lasting much longer than I expected. It's only good it certain razors though - EJ DE87, Pre-War FH Tech, QShave adjustable at 3 or less, '46 Aristocrat, and Aristocrat Junior. It feels far too rough in most others.

Rooney 1/3 Ivory Finest (26/55)
Penhaligon's English Fern shaving soap (tallow)
Paradigm Titanium II
Gillette Platinum 'Swede' (3)
Houbigant Fougère Royale aftershave (vintage)

Another excellent shave.  I am doing a head-to-head comparison of a Paradigm 17-4 and a Paradigm Titanium II. My initial impression is that the overall shave quality of the 17-4 and that of the Titanium II are quite close, with the 17-4 having just a very slight edge, probably due to its greater weight adding to the stroke smoothness.  The lighter Titanium II seems to be a bit more comfortable for me to hold because I have a mild tremor in my dominant, razor-holding hand.  I'll use the 17-4 again tomorrow with vintage Floris cream.

Been using the SilkSmoke synthetic every day. Only 3 more days until the Strop Shoppe Solsetio goes back in the drawer and replaced by Penhaligon's English Fern tallow soap.
