Wednesday:

Gillette Model #58 & Schick Platinum blade
Simpson X2L Colonel
Trumpers Spanish Leather shave cream
D R Harris's Pink A/S
Taylors Sandalwood cologne

Well, the SL cream and a new bottle of Pink arrived from Phil today. Timely because I just had used the last splash of the Pink that I had. The tube of SL that I received seems to be very satisfactory. Okay, I still don't care for the plastic tube but the texture of the cream was just right and the scent superb. Granted that Trumpers Spanish Leather is one of my two favourite cologne scents but still, I was concerned that the scent in shave cream format might be too much. I also like Taylors Sandalwood as a cologne or A/S but the scent in the shave cream was too strong and most other cologne scented shave creams don't appeal to me. But in this case, not only did they do an excellent job in translating the cologne scent into shave cream format but it was also not overdone. The scent was there, and very pleasant, in use but did not seem to linger significently. At least not on me. I'm very happy with the purchase, and as usual, the Bullgoose shipping was extremely swift.
Regards,
Gordon

Georgetown G4 scuttle
Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Somerset Simpson Rover Pure brush
House of Croydon shaving soap
Star DE razor
Wilkinson London Bridge blade (7)
Ralph Lauren aftershave balm

A good shave. The Croydon, although it has lost most of its scent, lathers pretty well. And the Star is efficient with the LB blade, but I prefer my larger razors, so I suspect I'll sell the Star soon.
