Monday AM 08-20-12

Becker scuttle
Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap
Somerset Simpson Polo 14 Manchurian (34/57)
Crabtree & Evelyn Sweet Almond Oil shaving cream
Wilkinson Sticky
Super Iridium (6)
Ralph Lauren Classic aftershave balm

Another great shave. The PL14 is really too big to use easily, but like with some of the big Plexi Plissons, its beauty and great softness make it worth having.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: iKon OSS
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Omega "Scarlatti" Boar
Soap or Cream: Fitness "Cream"
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Proraso Splash

An excellent shave today, using a cream that I haven't used before. Actually, the Fitness is more like a cream/soap or soft soap, rich in glycerine but no tallow. It makes lather easily, and has a discernable almond scent. A splash of Proraso seemed like an appropriate finish, and my face agreed–now it's off to breakfast with a friend.

Moss Slate Anniversary scuttle
Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap
Coates Fitzwilliam Pure (18/42)
Acqua di Parma shaving cream
Feather All Stainless
Personna 74 (8)
Acqua di Parma Colonia aftershave

An excellent shave. I tried a shim under the Personna and didn't like it, so I removed it.

Tuesday, August 21st

Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
Brush: Vie-Long Beehive Mixed
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: AOS Sandalwood
Scuttle: Ladysea Two-Piece Scuttle
A/S: Floid Amber

This is my second shave on the Polsilver Super Iridium and the shave is every bit as good as the Iridiums ever were. The only question now is durability. I enjoyed an excellent shave and am ready to tackle the day.
