Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap
Schwarzweisskeramik scuttle
Somerset Simpson Harvard 4 Best (20/50)
Yardley Gold Original shaving cream
Feather All Stainless
Gillette Minora (1)
Aramis Tuscany aftershave balm
The brush was the best part of this morning's shave. It is very soft and feels like a super badger brush. The Yardley Gold is fair, just adequate. And my first use of a Minora blade found it to give me a BBS shave but not to be as smooth as vintage Wilkinsons or modern Super Iridiums.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Merkur 23C
Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel
Brush: Omega 31025 "Scarlatti" Boar
Soap or Cream: Portman Square “Collier Row” Cream/Soap
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, La Toja Classic Splash
A very refreshing shave. This was the second shave with this blade and was smoother than the first one, which wasn’t bad, either. For me, a major factor in making a good lather is loading the brush sufficiently. In my early days of my return to wet shaving, I thought “Holy Toledo, I could have bought 15 cans of goo for the price of this soap! I had better use it conservatively.” But using it conservatively resulted in rather wimpy lathers, and I found that, even with liberal loading of the brush, the soap still lasted a very long time and I was happier with the shaves. This morning’s soap was a “cream/soap”, but the same thing is true–although I have used it a number of times, it still looks almost new. Oh, yes, the La Toja aftershave provided an excellent finish!
