Saturday morning full bloom.

The impressive loft of the Semogue 2040HD overshadows the elegance and flair of the Heljestrand MK 5 ivory straight razor.

Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap
Schwarzweisskeramik XL scuttle
Rooney (M&F) Stubby 1 Finest (25mm/48mm)
T&H Sandalwood shaving cream
Wilkinson Sticky
Gillette Platinum Plus (2)
Floid Blue splash aftershave

A great shave on this beautiful morning. The Stubby Finest is close to perfect: slightly high density, with wonderful backbone and flowthrough, slight "give" but without splaying, and snow-white, soft tips with just the faintest scritch. Just in terms of performance, I have to say that I like the Finests better than any of my vintage Simpsons. The Gillette was smooth, even more so than in the Feather. And the FB was a fine finish, fresh and clean.
