Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth
Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel
Brush: Vie-Long "Gonzalo" (04102) Horse/Boar
Soap: Cella
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel/RazoRock XXX Aftershave Wax

A nice, close shave this morning. It was my second use of the RazoRock aftershave wax–I like it for its soothing and protective quality, although it has a somewhat strange scent IMO. I’ll need it today because the weather is quite chilly and I will be outside much of the time.

Shave Secret preshave oil
Schwarzweisskeramik XL scuttle
Somerset Simpson Emperor 3 Super (21/48)
Penhaligon's English Fern shaving soap (vintage)
Feather AS
Balaka carbon steel (2)/Iridium Super (1)
Houbigant Fougere Royale splash aftershave (vintage)

I didn't want to waste the great Pen's lather on the Balaka, which was even worse - awful - the second day, so I switched after one pass to the IS blade, and after that the shave was as smooth as silk.

Razor - Filarmonic SubCero #12
Strop - 3" Snake, Shell Cordovan & Genuine Linen Hanging Razor Strop
Prep - Hot Towel, Palmolive S/S
Brush - 'Mama Chub' (Chubby 2 Two Band)
Soap - Marlborough
Cold Rinse/ Witch Hazel/ Pacific Shaving ASB

Still waiting for my Jade 2XL to arrive, so I've chosen 'Mama Chub' to do the honours with the Marlborough... Not a happy bunny....I don't usually have a rough shave with the str8, so I can only assume that my technique was way off!! :-/

Friday shave, and I have to say, it was a good one. No, great one.

Muhle R89 with Grande handle/ Gillette Silver Blue*
Semogue 1800
I Colionali Soap
Clinique Post Shave Healer

Dominica Bay Rum Limes as cologne

*The blade was the newcomer today, it pleasantly surprised me. After 3 passes instead of my usual two, I am completely smooth and comfortable.

Here's to those special shaves.
