Saturday, October 27th

Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
Brush: Vie-Long "Teiste" Prototype in Two Band Badger
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Czech & Speake
Scuttle: Ladysea
A/S: Floid Blue

Today was the maiden voyage of the Vie-Long "Teiste" prototype brush. I had this one made in two band badger with a 46mm loft and it is proving to be a scrubby little brush -perfect for face lathering hard soaps. It is not yet broken in but still performed well with a very comfortable handle. I think I am going to like the brush a lot!

I enjoyed a great shave followed by a refreshing splash of Floid Blue. I am now ready for what will be an 85 degree fall day.

Good afternoon. Saturday AM:

Jaggerooney w/Dorco 301, #2
BK 4
TFS Bergamatto Neroli Instenso soap*
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel
Harris Pink
English Fern

* I want to like this soap, but I really can't. I'll give a few more tries with a boar brush to see if it work better, but if not then to the BST.
Best,
Chris

Saturday AM 10-27-2012

Shave Secret preshave oil
Georgetown G4 scuttle
Somerset Simpson Eagle 1 Pure (20/44)
D.R. Harris Windsor shaving cream
Feather AS
Iridium Super (2)
D.R. Harris Windsor splash aftershave

A great shave. The Eagle hogs lather as much as any Chubby could, but it released plenty, and I'm not complaining - it was too good a shave to complain about anything.

Sunday, October 28th

Razor: Tradere Solid Bar
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
Brush: Vie-Long "Teiste" Prototype
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Cream: Tabula Rasa Dark Lavender
Scuttle: Bill Bowl
A/S: Floid Blue

The VL Teiste brush did a great job of ginning up the lather from Tabula Rasa (which, by the way, is a favorite cream). The Tradere razor and Polsilver Super Iridium combo did a fine job of eliminating the stubble and the Floid Blue felt great on what promises to be a ridiculously hot day (yesterday approached 90 degrees).
