Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: 1948-50 Gillette Superspeed
Blade: Astra Keramik
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two Band
Soap: Vintage Old Spice
A/S: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel/Wesley & Scott Lavender Balm
A very fine shave with mostly items that are no longer in production. The razor is the oldest item in this morning’s shave, followed by the soap. The Superspeed, paired with a good blade, is a formidable whisker whacker. I tend to prefer longer handled modern razors today, but enjoy being reminded that a lot of the old stuff was (and still is) darned good.

Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Schwarzweisskeramik XL scuttle
Rooney 2/1 Finest (22/48)
Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood shaving cream (vintage)
Weber DLC Bulldog
Schick Plus Platinum (5)
Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort aftershave balm
Avon Tribute splash aftershave (vintage)
A great shave. This particular Rooney is a favorite, with fine backbone and flowthrough and extremely soft tips.
