Plisson #14 EW
Trumpers Limes shave cream

Each time I've used this combination of brush and cream since I got my old brushes back it has resulted in a really fine rich lather...how nice!

Cella soap

Second use of this brush since the vinegar cleaning treatment and today it was a lather-making monster, creating more than I could use in two passes. The brush seems to shake out better, with less clumping of the bristles. It's now happily sunning itself in a south-facing window.

Saturday night, ahhh, my weekly lye soap bath in a galvanized wash tub, the water heated in a bucket over a wood fire by my hard working wife, followed by a nice close shave. Just kidding! Actually the only difference between the truth and the fiction is that this was my bath as a 5 year old, and the water was heated by my mama. She and I took a trip out to see if we could find the old house a couple of years ago. it was still there, but had long since collapsed into a pile of debris.
