Good afternoon. Sunday AM:

Jaggerooney w/Feather*, #1
SR 3722**
Valobra stuck w/lavender
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel
Fitjar East Indies A/S Balm
Alpa Fouguere EDC

*Very close shave; smooth blade; wicked sharp, unforgiving blade if you are a bit groggy (like I was)
** Tim, the BK is not my favorite brush aesthetically, but it just works so darned well I can 't deny its call. Its like driving a Volvo. I will be giving the SR 3722 a spin for the next few weeks, though.
Best,
Chris

Shavemac d01 3-band 22/48
Homemade lavender shave soap, batch #5
Edwin Jagger Barley Chrome
Personna Medical Prep
Dominica Bay Rum
Creed Green Irish Tweed

Chris, I understand completely, and I am coming to the same conclusion with the SR. Aesthetics be damned, it's pretty enough and it suits me. And, most importantly, it just works.
Regards,
Tim

Simpson Duke #2 Best
Trumpers Violet shave cream

Yes indeed!....thanks to Nathan I was able to get a few more packs of the LB blades. What a relief....but the basic problem of an ongoing supply of really good blades remains...sigh...

Sunday Night:

Razor: Weber ARC with Bulldog handle
Blade: Super Iridium

Brush: Vulfix 375S (super badger)
Soap: Cella

Lather made in a bowl, as always.
2 1/2 passes.

Aftershave: Thayer's Peach Witch Hazel blended with a bit of lather and massaged into the skin.

I haven't used a Super Iridium blade in a long time. It gave a very nice shave.

I have long held that Cella lathered better with boar than with badger. (The truth is that it is very hard to rinse out of pure badger lofts, for reasons I don't know, probably having to do with the structure of the hair.) I have been getting excellent lather, however, using this Vulfix super badger brush with Cella, and it rinses out fine.
