Shavemac D01 3-band 22/48
Homemade lemongrass shave soap
Edwin Jagger DE89BA11
Personna Med Prep blade
Superior 70 Bay Rum
Creed Green Irish Tweed

Yesterday's shave bore repeating. I think the 2nd soap recipe was better than this one. Hard to say. Going back to batch #2 for tomorrow's shave, and batches 4 and 5 are getting made tomorrow. Good times.
The brush is irritating my skin. Or else the lemongrass oil. Or both. Anyway, I guess I've gone soft and don't care for a brush this scrubby anymore. Lathers and looks great, though.
Regards,
Tim

John, how does the Creed soap perform?
It's excellent, but not truly great for me. Pretty much equivalent to Czech & Speake or the newer Penhaligon's soaps. I've only used it a couple times though, and I'm still experimenting with the lathering technique.

You and me both. Probably explains my general dislike of Simpson best brushes.
Best,
Chris

Shavemac D01 3-band 22/48
Palmolive shave stuck
Edwin Jagger Barley Chrome
Personna Medical Prep
Dominica Bay Rum

Decided to try a break from the homemade soap to see if I enjoyed this brush more with fewer variables. I did. However, it may still be too scrubby for my tastes these days.

Chris, I looked back over the past few months and saw your pretty much continuous use of the BK4, and I have to say I understand it. I continue to come back to the Savile Row for the same reason.
Regards,
Tim
