Monday AM 06-24-2013

Schwarzweisskeramik XL scuttle
Somerset Simpson Duke 2 Butterscotch Best (22/46)
Floris No. 89 shaving cream (vintage)
Rotbart/UFO Goliath brass
Schick Plus Platinum (1)
Penhaligon's Hammam Bouquet splash aftershave (vintage)

At least with the great old Floris cream and the excellent Schick blade, the Rotbart head on the UFO handle is just as smooth and efficient as the Weber DLC on the same handle, and better than the Goodfella head. BBS in three passes.

Razor: GEM OCMM + Pella PTFE (6)

Soap: Fiori & Frutta UOMO (DOVO) -- Mint
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask

Finally got a really nice shave from this soap. I guess that means that the Feather SEs just aren't great for me. But time will tell as I've only had 2 shaves on the Feathers. The Feather Pros in the Cobra just start getting really good on the 3rd shave. I was happy though that the lather isn't the cause of my weepers. I just love the smell of this mint, it makes me want to eat it. Smells just like good peppermint candy.

Simpson Duke 3 Best
Homemade blue cypress soap
EJ Barley w/Iridium blade
Lucido aftershave splash
CO Bigelow Elixir White

Blue cypress is THE shave soap smell for me, at least right now. Clean, coniferous, spicy, woody, resinous, but not heavy. Just terrific.

Tim
