-- Saturday--

Prep: hot water wash with hand soap
Razor: RazoRock OC head on top of Ikon Bulldog handle
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Brush: Stanley Home Products restored with Omega boar from TGN
Soap: Cella red tub
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant stick and Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Another great shave with the same setup as last time. I have not varied anything except the blade had one more shave on it. Very good results although the edge on the blade is getting less sharp. Gillette Silver Blue is a milder blade for me, kind of like 7 O'clock green. Good blade and works well in the RR/Cadet OC very well. I don't think I will push it to 5th shave. Got too many blades for that.

good Day, gentlemen
Pre: Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Liq. Face Wash, ex strength
Soap : Haslinger + DRH Lavender shave stick for chin/jawline touch-up
Brush: Somerset Simpson PL8 best
Razor: Cobra Classic with Dorco blade (6)
Post: Clubman Eau de Portugal, cheap but refreshing; pleasant scent disappears quickly
Clinique Post Shave Healer
Shower: MWF bath soap
Mystic Waters Shampoo Bar and vinegar rinse

Wow, very fine DFS shave with two passes and chin/jawline buffing with Harris stick. Will return to my Kai blades next go=round.
Twelve hours later and still feeling clean.
Last day of beautiful Cape Cod weather...heat and humidity returning soon...good test of the two new competing deodorants.

Becker scuttle
Rooney Stubby 3 Finest (26/62)
Crabtree & Evelyn Goatmilk shaving cream (vintage)
Wilkinson Sticky
Wilkinson Sword (cryogenically tempered) (3)
4711 aftershave

Because of its very high loft, this Finest doesn't have quite the backbone of the others, but it is very luxurious, and the old C&E cream is wonderful. The tempered blade is just fair to middling, nothing special.

Kent BK4
TOBS Jermyn Street
Z3 Super Speed
IP (1)

There is absolutely no way the IP blades come close to the performance of the Silver Blues. The latter took no prisoners and went through the whiskers while sitting back and lighting a cigar. The IPs are just decent and predictable, IMO.
