-- Monday--

Prep: hot water wash with hand soap
Razor: Merkur Progress set to 4-ish
Blade: Personna Super (lab) (3)
Brush: Vintage N.S.Y brush restored with TGN two band finest
Soap: RazoRock Classic
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant stick and Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe

Image

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. I've been "forcing" myself to use razors other than the Progress just because I have them and I really enjoy other razors. But when I go back to my beloved Progress it is always an "aaah" experience. Smooth, efficient, takes any blade I throw at it. Best DE ever!

RazoRock Classic is an amazing soap! I've had it for a while, but didn't use it much because I have other classic Italian croaps I really love (Cella is my favorite and 3P and R-160 are close). However, RR Classic is a really nice soap. It is super slick and protective. Very inexpensive too. I am not 100% sold on some of the ingredients. I prefer soaps with as few things my grandpa wouldn't recognize as possible, but the performance of the Classic is top notch.

Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Post Shave Healer
Fairly rare late night shave, prompted by the need for an early (for me) start tomorrow morning.
DFS++ with barely 2 1/2 passes and extensive blade buffing along the jawline, lower lip and chin. Managed, for a change,
NOT to re-nick a previous gash on the chin...hurrah. Probably used too much water but nonetheless the DRH provided
plenty of nice slick, protective lather. One of my (few) boar brushes is now used for about half my shaves, a real
tribute to the quality of today's boar offerings; one of them will undoubtedly make the travel (shave) squad.

Enjoying wet shaving, again.
