Prep: hot water wash with hand soap
Razor: RazoRock OC head with Ikon bulldog handle
Blade: Derby (1)
Brush: Vintage N. S Y. restored with TGN two band finest
Soap: PannaCrema Namaste
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant stick and Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe
Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Great shave. I have not used a Derby blade since the very beginning of my DE experience and then I wrote them off as "not so good". Today I found one unused Derby blade that was kicking around and decided to load it into a RR OC head. What great combo! I am not sure how many shaves the Derby will last, but it's remarkable how well it performed in this razor. Great cheap blade works amazingly well in RR OC. This gives me an idea of trying other "lesser" blades like Dorco st-300 and Wally Wilkies in this great razor. Cheap razor and cheap blades give great shave, what else can one ask for? I think I will try a "cheapo" shave with Arko soap and Omega brush. I think we have a winner!

Early early A.M. Tuesday
Pre: QED French Clay Bar Soap
Shave Soap: AOS Lavender, tallow
Brush: Saville Row 3122
Razor: Gem 1912, Gem SS PTFE blade (1)
Post: Thai Crystal stick as an alum stick
Clubman A/S
Clinique Post Shave Healer
Wow, Great shave in only 2 1/2 passes. This razor with a fresh blade easily mowed down nearly 2 days'
beard growth, with nary a tiny weeper. Great AOS lather whipped up by the Saville Row brush, making
its first appearance in well over a year...so much stuff still to unpack even after a year since our move.
Could really fall in love with the Gem Razors, especially once the proper blade angle is re-learned.
Next shave will be with a recently-acquired "Push Button."
