Early, early Thursday Morning
Pre: Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Liquid Face Wash, ex. strength
Shave Soap: Haslinger Ewe's Milk
Brush: Omega Boar 10066 in custom "St Emilion" handle
Razor: Gem "Push Button," with Gem SS PTFE (2)
Post: Thai Crystal Deodorant, used as alum stick
Clubman A/S
Clinique Post Shave Healer
Well, the Gem Push Button is, so far, the "mildest" of the Gems yet tried, but it still managed to provide a
DFS+ shave in 2 1/2 passes. Will resist as best I can comparing the Ewe's Milk (with Lanolin) directly to MWF,
but it does lathers more quickly, has a slick moist lather, and leaves the face feeling very smooth. So far, I
rate it even higher than the Haslinger Honey and Calendula versions, both of which are IMHO terrific soaps.
All in all, a very satisfactory shave!

Enjoying wet shaving, again.

Simpsons 57 "Douglas" Super 2-Band (22/51)
Williams Golden Yellow shaving cream (vintage)

Yardley English Lavender aftershave (vintage)

The old Yardley cream just smells soapy, but its lathering and skin care properties are great.

Thursday evening

A "most refreshing" shaving experience

Noxzema in the big blue tub
- aaaahhh --- brushlesssssss!
Muhle R4 Grande '13
Personna hu blade
444 ASB
COBigelow Witch Hazel Skin Tonic

Almost midnight, I was busy putting an edge on my latest straight razor acquisition, and knew I wouldn't have time to shave Friday am, so I grabbed the huge $5 tub of Noxzema and applied it liberally with my fingers. I got a nice cool and refreshing face feel and fragrance. The Muhle/Personna showed up ready to do the job, and they did. this was a full 3 pass shave with reapplication of cream in between. At the end, Noxzema is a cleansing cream, actually, so I splashed water on my whole face and applied the cleanser to the whole face, then rinsed it off with a hot washcloth. My, oh, my, what a nice clean and cool sensation. Then the 444 and COBigelow were applied for an additional jolt of soothing and cooling.
