-- Friday--
Prep: hot water wash with Stirling bath soap
Razor: RazoRock/Cadet OC on top of Ikon Bulldog
Blade: SuperMax Titanium (2)
Brush: Home made exotic wood handle with TGN two band Finest
Soap: Mike's Barbershop
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant stick and Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe
Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Wonderful shave. I think the difference in aggressiveness between the RR/Cadet OC and my Frankenrazor is just enough to make a difference in favor of the slightly more aggressive RR/Cadet OC. I think it's just about the perfect level of aggressiveness for me. The results are just fabulous. I know I usually report BBS, but the BBS I get with more aggressive razors last longer and have fewer "problem" spots. Mike's shaving soap is quickly winning me over from even my never wavering soaps like Cella. Wonderful artisan soap. Just wonderful.

First triple-milled soap experience.
Kent BK4
D. R. Harris Marlborough soap
Z3 Super Speed
Fresh Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow
No aftershave
I've been wetshaving for about seven years. I've tried most of the generally known soaps/creams (Mama Bear, Col. Conk, Speick, Tabac, Cella, TOBS, Williams(!), C&E) except for anything English triple-milled. So I wanted a winter soap, had $30 burning a hole in my pocket, and then WCS got the Marlborough soap in mahogany bowl back in stock. Resistance was futile.
Short review of the Marlborough. Definitely a woodsy scent, almost "campfire the following morning". Not overpowering at all but enough to enjoy. Face-lathered and required some extra loading onto the brush to do the two passes, probably due to my inexperience with t-m soaps. Whiskers didn't stand a chance and I ended up with a very smooth result. Not sure what it was about this lather that worked so well, sort of a "What just happened here?" event. Rinsed easily off my face and from the brush. Definitely an enlightening shaving experience.

MdC Terminated
• Razor: EverReady Streamline
• Blade: GEM PTFE (3)
• Brush: RV Alibaba Black Fibre
• Soap: Martin de Candre -- Signature (136)
• AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum
This shave concludes my first pot of MdC and it solidified just how good a razor the Streamline is. My last use of the Streamline was not good at all and it was all because of some really poor lather from Stirling soap. I will not be using that stuff again.
136 uses from my 170g pot works out to approximately 1.25g per use. If it's really 200g like I think it was then it is more like 1.50g per use. Either way it averaged out to costing less than $.50 per use.
Between Cella & MdC I'm just not that sure there is much else I want to shave with other than the occasional use of my P.160 stash.
Happy weekend everyone!
