Tuesday night

home made soap
French pure brush
Trac II
444 ASB
COBigelow Witch Hazel Skin Tonic

The tools I used for tonight's shave were humble and inexpensive, but the shave was quite enjoyable and extremely smooth.

Never as good as the first time?

• Pre: Clearly Natural -- Vitamin E bar
• Razor: Cobra Classic
• Blade: Feather Professional (8)
• Brush: Mühle VIVO Black Fibre
• Soap: Martin de Candre -- Fougère (31)
• AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum

Image

I have to disagree with Sade, it can be just as good as the first time & even better. This morning was an example. Even on its 8th shave this blade effortlessly sliced through my stubble. The MdC set a most luxurious stage with brilliant lather and the scent; my oh my that lovely fougère!

After a disappointing loss in the volleyball championship last night this shave has me feeling right as rain (there is no spoon) in no time. Additionally I should be taking possession of my next Rudy Vey Black Fibre today so I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's shave. I hope everyone else's day is at least as good.

Oh yeah! Hump Day!

Straight Razor Designs scuttle
Rooney 2/1 Finest (20mm/57mm)
Williams Golden Yellow shaving cream (vintage)
Rotbart
Gillette Platinum Plus (1)
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet aftershave

The cushion and glide of the Williams cream are just average, but the skin aftercare is wonderful.

Good Day. Gentlemen
WEDNESDAY
PRE: Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Liq. Face Wash, ex. strength
SOAP: AOS Lavender, tallow
BRUSH: QED Saville Row 22mm Silvertip
RAZOR GEM "ShovelBack" with GEM PTFE SS (2)
POST: Alum deo used as an astringent
Clubman styptic pencil
Clubman A/S
Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Post Shave Healer
Every time I use the AOS tallow, I have been conscious that it is no longer being made. It never fails to
gift me with great lather, no matter what definition of "great" is used. Today was no exception... brush,
lather, razor and blade, all in perfect harmony. DFS+ shave in just 2 1/2 passes with just two minor weepers.
First shave with the Shovel Back for quite a while and I realized that with the exception of 3-4 DE shaves last
month, SE razors have been my norm for 2-3 months!
Here's hoping the new Valobra tallow proves a worthy successor to the AOS!
Enjoying wet shaving, again.
