Second day with the new Valobra soap, and again really great results. Face lathering this soap with a boar brush yielded
a really good lather but different from what the QED silvertip delivered... a bit less opaque but still rich and slick!
DFS in 2 1/2 passes with better than usual result along the jawline... can afford to be a bit more aggressive without
risking irritation!. Tomorrow will see a different razor and fresh blade.

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. BC LE Mistura No. 18 arrived this morning from Portugal just in time for my shave. What a pleasant surprise! I've been using SOC SE, the larger mixed hair Semogue for the past four shaves. I love the SOC SE, but it's way bigger than my usual preference for brush size. The BC LE Mistura is absolutely perfect size for me. It is pretty darned close to an ideal brush. I shampooed it and lathered it a few times before the maiden voyage and did my usual boar break in procedure, which is working the almost dry tips of the brush on a roughish towel and on the back side of my lather strop and on on my two day beard. works every time and this time was no exception. Many boar tips in the brush have split before the first shave. What a delightful brush this is! Those who have the TSN 2012 LE should know this. The mixed hair knot is fabulous. Even the first shave was amazing and to think the brush will only improve... It really loaded up Mike's Barbershop nicely and I had a nearly perfect shave today with BBS results and total comfort and enjoyment.
