Tikified!

• Pre: Tiki Bar Soap -- Dead Sea Facial
• Razor:: EverReady 1924 head + Streamline handle
• Blade:: GEM PTFE (1)
• Brush:: Elite7 Scarlett + WSP HMW
• Soap: Tiki Bar Vegan "Woodsy"
• AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

Image

I received my order from Tiki Bar Soap yesterday of several bath bars and a shaving soap. There was no question what I was going to shave with this morning. The lather was very creamy and super slick. Even though this was my first use ever of the ER'24 with the Streamline handle and first use of a '24 head in a long time this shave was super smooth. I avoided the '24 for a long time after using it a year or so ago and finding it to be very rough. Today's shave was anything but rough and I have to think that the Tiki Bar facial soap and shave soap had something to do with that. Even in my very hard water this soap just doesn't over aerate, practically no air bubbles at all which is just how I like it. It can also hold a lot of water which helps make it super slick and no risk of it drying out on you. My face felt really smooth and conditioned after the shave but I still used my KFBR for that extra luxury and the scents paired extremely well too.

Have a great Sunday all. I will be putting together a more informative initial impressions post on the Tiki Bar shave soap after church sometime today.

SUNDAY A.M.
PRE: QED French Clay soap
SHAVE SOAP: Valobra Cologne hard shave soap, again
BRUSH: QED Saville Row 22 mm silvertip
RAZOR: GEM 1914, GEM PTFE SS Blade (1)
POST: Crystal deo used as after-shave astringent
Clubman A/S
Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Post shave Healer
Another super shave, one tiny nick and zero irritation, in 2+ passes.
Today the QED SR reverted a bit to being a bit piggy with the lather;
and I can't figure out why. Still plenty of lather to get through this
really super nice shave though.
Am awaiting a puck of Czech & Speake Oxford and Cambridge soap
from BullGoose, to compare it with the Valobra, and to give the
Valobra a few days rest.
Enjoying wet shaving, again.
