Result: BBS in 3+ passes. I have not used my beloved Progress in months. Been fascinated by the OC Frankie I created. As good a shaver as that Frankie is, I am so happy to shave with the Progress today! What a great razor. My all time favorite. SOC SE is becoming my brush favorite, but I have more than one of those. This brush is feeling better with every shave (I bought it new and this is shave 5 or 6 with it). Just a brilliant brush. Amazing handle, amazing backbone, amazing flow through and lather release, amazing lather making ability. Just a super brush.

TUESDAY A.M.
PRE: QED French Clay face bar
SHAVE SOAP: Valobra Cologne hard shave soap
BRUSH: Simpson PL8
RAZOR: Gem 1914 with Gem PTFE SS blade (5)
POST: Crystal stick deo as after-shave astringent
Clubman A/S
Clinique for Men Post Shave Healer
Nearly 3 full passes and yet another fine shave... close and comfortable. But I've concluded the useful life of the Gem PTFE blades, for me at least,
is probably not more than 4-5 uses. I know others here can coax many more shaves out of the PTFE Gem, but for me 4+ really comfortably close efforts
is all that can be counted on!
Tomorrow a different razor and fresh blade but another go at the Valobra hard puck.
Enjoying wet shaving, again.
