FRIDAY, A.M.
PRE: MWF Shave soap, broken pieces, as a pre-shave face wash
SHAVE SOAP: AOS Lavender Tallow shave soap
BRUSH: Omega Boar 81569
RAZOR: Gem MM Clog Pruf with Gem PTFE SS Blade (3)
POST: ......... Crystal Alum Deo stick as A/S astringent............Clubman A/S..................... Clinique for Men Post Shave Healer
2 1/2 passes= DFS+ shave with a single weeper and virtually zero irritation. Now that I've laid in some C&S Oxford and Cambridge
and Valobra hard shave pucks, I'm a bit less tight-fisted about using up the last pathetic bit of the AOS tallow still left. It will surely
be a sad day when the AOS finally disappears, but my tears will at least soften whatever Valobra-based puck is chosen for the next
shave.
Enjoying wet shaving, again.

Friday:

Gillette Model #58 & LB Wilkinson blade
Rooney Emillion
Taylors Lemon/Lime shave cream
D R Harris's Pink A/S
Trumpers Spanish Leather

Because this cream is in such optimal condition, even the often problematic early issue Emillion was a snap to use.

Prep: Nivea Scrub
Cream: DR Harris Windsor
Brush: Rooney 3/1
Razor/Blade: Muhle R89 Grande with a Feather
Post: Alum then DR Harris Windsor milk

2 things I'm becoming more convinced of: 1) The Harris milk is one of the most effective A/S products for me and my skin and 2) I enjoy experimenting with razors, but I could be totally happy in a monogamous relationship with the R89. It's just a great all around razor.

New Blade Saturday

Kent BK4
D.R. Harris Marlborough soap
'47 Gillette Aristocrat
Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow

Lather a little thin due to insufficient loading but a single pass did the job. Snowing in NE Illinois and the temperatures are predicted to drop to zero or less in the next couple of days. I'll be sticking with the Marlborough.

19 January 2014

France / Germany / England / America - what a world we live in to get the best each country has to offer.

• Pre: Clearly Natural Vitamin E
• Razor: Ever-Ready MCMXIV
• Brush: Mühle VIVO Black Fibre
• Soap: Martin de Candre - Fougère (44)
• Post: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum
• Cologne: TOBS Jermyn Street

Image

A complete luxury shave preparing for church today. Really getting used to the shape of the VIVO brush. I've always loved the look, but now it's feeling very comfortable in hand too.

The best shave soap in the world set the stage for an easy shave from the ER'14 even though this blade must be pushing 20 shaves. It's the Energizer Bunny of blades.

Krampert's always leaves my face & neck soft, smooth, & revitalized. Smelling swell with the TOBS modern Fougère.

Have a blessed day & be a blessing to others!
