True Synergy = French soap + French brush

• Pre: Tiki Bar Soap - Dead Sea Facial
• Razor: EverReady MCMXIV
• Blade: GEM PTFE (1)
• Brush: L'Occitane Cade Plisson synth
• Soap: Martin de Candre - Signature (3)
• Post: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

Silky. Plush. Sleek. Velvety. This Cade synth brush by Plisson is sublime. I certainly need more use with it before I'm comfortable doing a thorough & honest review. However, I will say that I'm quite impressed and already can't wait to use it again.

Prep: scrub with Mike's Natural shampoo bar on the whiskers in the shower
Razor/Blade: Super Speed flair tip with an Astra SP
Soap: Cella
Brush: SOC Boar
Post: Thayers Superhazel then Harris Windsor Milk

The shampoo bar worked fine as a face scrub. I was in a hurry as we were running late to get my son to a B'ball game. My Cella only has 1 or 2 shaves left. It will be missed. That's some great soap.

SATURDAY A.M.
PRE: QED French Red Clay face soap
SHAVING CREAM: TOBS Rose Shave Cream
BRUSH: Simpson PL8
RAZOR/BLADE: Gem JR with Gem PTFE SS Blade (2)
POST: .....Crystal deo stick as after shave astringent ...... Clubman A/S ...... Clinique Post Shave Healer
OK shave requiring 2 1/2 passes. Not overly impressed with lather generated by the combo of the TOBS tubed cream and the PL8. Had to
re-apply a pea-sized portion of the cream for each pass. If I were a bowl latherer maybe that would be preferable.
Enjoying wet shaving, again.

This brush is pure bliss on the face. Now if you like some scritch, then this brush isn't for you. For me though, I need a brush with the softest tips while still having the right blend of backbone so it splays but doesn't flop. Since synthetics don't bloom this type of brush seems perfect for me. The Mühle fibres tend to be springy which isn't the best feeling. This Plisson retuns to its shape after being splayed in a more controlled & "natural" way. Very glad that I ordered a backup already.
