-- Thursday--

Prep: hot water wash with Stirling bath soap
Razor: Frankenrazor made of Hallmark top plate, Fatip base plate and Ikon bulldog handle
Blade: Derby Extra (3)
Brush: Semogue Owners Club 2012 SE Mixed Hair
Soap: Mike's Natural Hungarian Lavender
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5 in Hamada glaze (used as brush scuttle)
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant alum stick and Simpson Aftershave Balm

Image

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Great shave. Derby blade continues to impress on shave 3. This may very well be the only mild blade that can go 4 shaves for me. Next shave will reveal that mystery.

Did I mention that I love Mike's Natural soaps and Hungarian Lavender scent is amazingly good.

THURSDAY A.M.
PRE: QED Clay Soap
SHAVE SOAP: Czech & Speake Oxford and Cambridge
SHAVE BRUSH: Simpson Duke 2 Best
RAZOR/BLADE: Gem Push Button with Gem PTFE SS (3)
POST SHAVE: ... Alum deo stick as post shave astringent ... Clubman A/S .... Simpson AS Balm, first use
Another superb shave, the foundation of which continues to be the truly fabulous C&S lather.
I realize the soap is really expensive, but on a cost-per-shave basis, not outrageously so. Should you ever
get the opportunity to grab a puck of this stuff, do yourself a huge favor. Calling this or any other soap the
"best" is always dangerous, but in this case, it truly is incredibly good!
Enjoying wet shaving, again.
