I had been using Polsilvers for about 8 months prior to this week, and it took a couple of days for me to adjust to the Personna, but I find it just as sharp or nearly so, only slightly less smooth and forgiving than the Polsilver. Very workable. Still, I think ordering more Polsilvers may be in order.

RAZOR/BLADE: Gem JR, with Gem SS PTFE SE (3)
POST SHAVE: Crystal alum deo stick as astringent ... Clubman Eau de Portugal Tonic as aftershave .... Simpson ASB
Fortunately, have always been able to get excellent lather from MWF and today's was particularly good. The Gem JR is a
neat little razor and it delivers a fine, nifty shave. The weak link, if any, in today's regimen was the Simpson ASB... it really
is only a so-so product and at a fairly hefty price, and considering it's from a venerable company, the disappointing perform-
ance is particularly galling.

If this set-up doesn't show that I'm a menthol freak, nothing will. lollllllll Another frigidly-wonderful Cracky Wacky Ticky Tacky Face-Freezing Shave which I loved so much. An interesting thing happened - while I was lathering up with the Yeti Snot soap for my first pass, I got a sneezing fit and my eyes started tearing. The same thing happened on Monday while I was using the Glacial soap so this proves that both these soaps are equally cold. The 444 balm and the Penguin felt awesome afterwards!
